When training consistently it is well known that your body needs rest and rehydration to recover. However, for optimal recovery the muscles also need manipulation; preventing muscular dysfunction and reducing the likelihood of: pain, knots, imbalances and injuries.
During your initial appointment the therapist will discuss your desired outcome of the treatment. They will then conduct a comprehensive assessment, including range of movement, muscle and soft tissue tone to inform your treatment plan.
The therapist will then utilise a range of soft tissue, deep tissue and/or sports massage techniques to improve the areas highlighted in your initial assessment. Some techniques may require active movement, with consistent reassessment and verbal feedback.
The therapist will then discuss your treatment plan moving forward, with optimal aftercare advice and Input from other clinicians to achieve your goals.
